  I sell kitchen cabinets for a living and I have seen Grabill's work. I think their product is outstanding. I had a customer in recently who, through the years, had used five different full-custom cabinet lines. They mentioned during our conversation that "Grabill is the Cadillac of custom cabinets". If you're shopping for custom cabinets, you should feel very safe investing your money in Grabill's product.

  After living in our newly built home for about 2 years we noticed the finish rubbing off our Maple stained cabinet doors and frames. As the years went by, the cabinets got worse and we decided to take our complaint to Grabill Cabinets. First they were not going to do anything, but re-finish them for us at full-cost (mind you this was a 4 year old home with "quality Grabill Cabinets"), but after complaining/threatening and getting our builder involved, we were able to get them refinished for a discounted rate... but having to pay anything to have them refinished made me very upset (especially since cabinests should last at least 20 years not 4!). Well after Grabill re-did them, we had to send them back 3x until they did them right. They were trying to take the cheap way out and not strip them and refinish them as they were supposed to. We are now about a year later and there are already issues with the finish coming off! We never had the frames fixed, because we figured we would have to pay thousands! If you are going to build or re-do your kitchen, think twice about using Grabill Cabinets... I used to think they stood for quality, but they proved to us that not only does their finishing quality leave MUCH to be desired, but so does their customer service!
